The robot is fine, but the app is a pita. Don't take my word for it, check out the rating for ecovas apps. I guess it ultimately depends on how much you can tolerate a bad app.

Have been Using the app for over a year or two. Not sure what the issue is. Have not had issues and any that did exist have since been resolved

Here is a recent user comparison between this and the Roomba e6... Both bought at Costco.

I will never own another EcoVacs again, EVER! The caster wheel fell out, made a mess on our original hardwood floor, scratched a giant area probably working until the battery died, and I called them to own their problem...their response, sorry, you are out of warranty! Think again before you buy this piece of crapper.

I have the 900 series as well from costco two years ago. Battery life is not fantastic compared to Roomba. Also the replacement brush is around $30

Got mine last Friday. I love that it is smart enough to map the room, but:
1. The dust bin (compared to my Roomba) is tiny
2. The dust bin doesn't even fill up after being run for 1 hour. (my 700 series Roomba is usually stuffed to the gills)
3. This gets stuck in the same exact place my Roomba got stuck in. Disappointing.
4. If the cleaning doesn't improve, I'll be returning this for another Roomba.

Saw a youtube review video that got me intrigued and then looked at Amazon where I was promptly turned off.

https://www.amazon.com/ECOVACS-DE...merReviews

It looks like since the youtube video I watched, they 'updated' the firmware requiring the use of a different app and everyone seems to say that it ruined it completely.

simply not true for android
its the same app as always
yes it is a new version
it works fine, if not better then the original version of the app which was a bit flakey sometimes

amazon reviews are typically from idiots who cant even connect devices to their router
