Thanks but after going through regulst Fiet LED bulbs from Costco like if they were some 6 month timer on these things , I'm not trusting this brand anymore. It's so bizarre that manufacturers claim all these BS of 22 years of life when these bulbs dont even last a year.

Not directly through the hub. These are WiFi bulbs that you'd control through a separate app. Smarthings uses Zigbee.

I have not had the bad luck with this brand that others seem to have had, but yes, don't need anymore headaches or hassles as I migrate to a smarter home, I do wonder if these fall under the costco electronics return time allowance or could be returned whenever they fail.

They are not as of now. But the biggest problem is when you use color, the lumen drops and becomes very darkish. I dont like them at all.

huh? Im pretty sure Smartthings has Bluetooth, Zwave and Zigbee and also works with a wide variety of WiFi devices (like my Honeywell Touchscreen WiFi thermostat). Please do your research before commenting...

sold in store? Do these have the issue where when first turned on its at 100% for a brief instant and then dimmed to set point?

NM, according to reviews that is an issue with these "These lights are also sluggish.. .they take a few moments to turn on if you've turned them off with the light switch. When turning the switch on, they burst on for about 1 second at maximum intensity of white light before settling in with the previously selected color. Not great at all if you're just trying to turn on a hallway light at night to use the toilet"
Also delay on startup when using a switch and requires internet at all times so no go for me.

So he should the research before commenting but even you're not 100% sure if he is wrong as you are "pretty sure" yourself?

BTW, he's right that these require separate app. Nowhere does it state that these work with SmartThings and the list of "Works with SmartThings" list as is the case with your Honeywell WiFi thermostat. So at least, it does not work out of the box as you would typically be able to do with other SmartThings compatible bulbs.

You made me look it up you jerk. I stand corrected on Zwave, but BT is not mentioned on their materials: https://support.smartthings.com/h...b-hardware
The more important point is that there is no documentation showing that these bulbs can be directly controlled by the ST hub.

According to 1 Amazon reviewer:
Q: Are the bulbs SmartThings compatible?
A: So far they are. It's been three weeks

I have ST and it can only link z-wave & zigbee to the hub.

Yep, anything in color basically only works as a night light. The kids actually love them for that.

I don't have anything to compare them to though. It was my first attempt at smart bulbs.
