Fun for like 20 mins. Then gets boring for kids. Got a mega pack for a 8 year old and has been used less than 10 times in over a year

Will the apps stop working or is it bluetooth connection to the phone? Will the cars be like nothing but fancy hotwheels once the company is belly up?

The cars rely on a bluetooth connection which is established from the Anki Overdrive app. I would say you have nothing to worry about atleast not for a few years. The app works perfectly on android 8, 9 and the latest android 10. Not sure about iPhone support.

Fun for a day or two then there is nothing holding the interest. This was my experience with my 8 year old.
