I would spend $8 more and buy this one from Costco.

It's too bad the base on the Costco one has all that other stuff on it. I would prefer to just have it store the opener, thus having a smaller footprint.

According to CCC, this is the best price ever on this item. Anyone has experience with this wine opener?

We have used better openers! This thing is so tricky to fully remove the cork. My wife has pretty much given up on it and im close to it also. Also removing the foil seal is a must before cork removal and the foil cutter is on the back of the charger. I dont recommend this opener at all. Thats probably why its so cheap now?

These go on sale for as low as $5. I bought 4 for $5 each two years ago as gifts, they still work great, and batteries last a long time. Pay $10 or wait for $5 sales.

IDK why, but these things never last. We've gone thru 2 of this brand and one of a different brand. We open maybe 2 bottles a month with it, so not heavy usage.

I literally just bought an older version at Goodwill last week, to replace the most recent one that crapped out. What gives...

The problem with "electric" wine openers is that the battery within will inevitably stop working (in a year or two), and these are proprietary/soldered on and not easy to replace.

I would instead suggest getting one with a replaceable battery.
