ABOUT DIRECT TOOLS
Thanks to @jeff34270 from another post: Direct Tools is the outlet store for TTI, the company that manufactures Milwaukee, Ridgid, Ryobi, etc. and in addition to the website they have physical stores in a couple dozen states.

Every single thread on here with an item from Direct Tools Outlet has the people saying it seems sketchy... I've ordered from there approximately 6-7 times without any issues. Called their customer service before and got connected with a real human almost immediately. I've been to their physical stores in Daytona Beach, Myrtle beach, and another that I can't remember. I've even purchased from one of their physical stores and had them ship it to my home. They are legit, have some great deals (if you know your prices, other items are overpriced).... but can be a tad slow to ship and usually throw a bunch of stuff into a huge box or if the item is big they just slap a shipping label on its box. Of all the reconditioned items I've purchased the only two items actually look like they had moderate to heavy use and they were both sanders. The only thing that sucks is they charge a 20% restocking fee for returns, so you are better off selling it instead of returning it.
EDIT: Just got home to find a bunch of boxes from direct tools from an order I placed 1.5 weeks ago... a few things to note:
- one box had TTI logos on it
- all the boxes use sub-par packing tape, almost all of them where partially or completely open
- they either throw everything loosely inside a box waaaay too big for the items or just stick a shipping label directly on the box the item is in
- they do throw a descent amount of bubble wrap in with the items or for very big items (miter saw, lawn mower, air compressor) they used expanding foam packets
- Reconditioned items have "RECON" stamped on them on a plastic piece
- Most of the reconditioned items I received today (and in the past) only have a couple of scrapes on a plastic part and look like most of the other parts on it where replaced, one of the items I received today (ridgid light cannon) looked like it had moderate/heavy use.
PS Had called customer service yesterday because I realized I ordered a couple of items I didn't need and they can't seem to cancel individual items off of an order or cancel an entire order more than a couple of hours old.

Not a rep... just like to save money and help others save. My other posts will confirm that. I usually only comment on threads that I actually have extensive experience with.

Are these reconditioned? That is what this site seems to be known for. Anyone have experience with this site?
I've tried one order, recently. No PayPal, so you need either a CC (virtual or otherwise) or some other payment source. My order was placed last week and I have yet to receive either a confirmation or any other update. My CC was charged and my order shows "processing" on their site.

Site seems sketchy....i'll pass.
There is nothing sketchy about them. But those still questioning the validity of Direct Tools might want to check out the recent Ryobi circular saw thread where-in several Slickdealers posted their positive experiences with TTI's outlet store.
The outlet sells new overstock, new blemished, and CPO (certified pre-owned). The item page clearly delineates if it s new, blem, or refurb, but most of those tiling tools above will be new.

It's funny how many people say that due to it's old looking style.
They have an 800 number posted with hours that they're open
A support email address
Physical retail store locations in the USA
facebook and instagram account linked to their site
Terms and conditions including refund policy
Warranty information
Pages explaining who they are and what they do
a BBB page with corporate address and phone number
Scam sites usually have an email and maybe a social account link.

Los colinas as in Irving Texas? Lol I worked at The Associates building in Las Building, it's the building that HAD all the flag poles flying flags from different countries the building owner did work with.
