about the same as any other drain snake, but shorter. more for home use than a pro, obviously.

the biggest downside is unlike real drains nakes that are self contained... after you pull this thing out, you're going to have 4 1/2' of drain snake to deal with, that has been down inside the grimiest sludge.

This is one of those things you buy one time, use one time, and never make the same mistake again.

It's well worth spending $15 more to get a self contained one. These make a mess as another poster correctly pointed out.

Yeah I was wondering that. I got a typical plastic one that I can just shove down and move it around a couple times. not sure this is enough benefit to get the drill out and make sure I got a charged battery to get this job done.

Clog is likely to be further than this thing will go, causing more frustration than it is worth. Just get a real drain snake.
