Clog is likely to be further than this thing will go, causing more frustration than it is worth. Just get a real drain snake.
Probably already mentioned in this thread, but do you have any recommendations?

I picked this one up a couple months ago, and have no complaints with it. Has a metal housing and has a lifetime warranty. I can tell it is not going to break any time soon, and if it did, Home Depot generally will strait exchange for a replacement in store.

Its about $40. I needed it ASAP, and it fixed a clog that was causing my AC to drain in my sink, which I fixed by dryvacing out the water, turning off the AC, then snakeing through the sink into the wall about 15-20 ft. This model also has a detachable handle which will allow u to chuck it in a drill. I found it a little cumbersome to use it with a drill. I think it would be a lot easier to do if u had a third hand to operate the drill as you operate the snake. Worked great manually with the crank.

I second the Ridgid PowerSpin suggestion. It works great for those mid-level clogs throughout the house between the sink/tub traps and the mainline. The drill attachmnet and auto-feed are really nice, however be careful for if you use it in too big of a line it can get tangled and hard (impossible?) to remove.

This is one of those things you buy one time, use one time, and never make the same mistake again.

It's well worth spending $15 more to get a self contained one. These make a mess as another poster correctly pointed out.

I got tired of waiting and had them cancel my order. They cancelled my previous lanyard order on their end - not that they ever notified me of it. I finally had to contact their customer spport to find that out. And it took them almost two weeks to respond.

Will skip them going forward.

My order is in progress... Not holding my breath on this one! First experience with this seller, possibly my last.

EDIT - just got a shipping email (12/3)

EDIT - What a POS! This thing doesn't spin nor click/jerk like online videos. I can feel the cable spinning until about a foot from the end. Appears to be broken garbage! (12/6)

No spinning here. But after I straighten the end, it spinned finally.

Just got it (one month later) and what a load of crap. It does not work / spin no matter how much the drill spins. Warning for others, do not buy this. Wonder if they are selling a bad / reject batch.

Also bought the ryobi infrared thermometer (ES-2000). They shipped it with a "Security Device" tag in the front (Stolen item?) and even after I opened it and tried to use it, their app does not recognize the device and is in a loop to try recognizing it again.. Looks like it was made in 2014? Maybe they dropped supporting it? Waste of $$$.

This was my first and my last order with "Direct Tools" ( directtoolsoutlet.com) garbage. Pure trash.

It appears that the shaft simply turns freely,it does not spin the line at all. So what's the magic that makes the line spin?
