Just came across this deal on eBay. YMMV on having 10% bucks currently but stacking that with this is pretty slick. Lowest price by $570 on slickdeals ($670 if you have the 10% ebay bucks). FirstclassTV's is the sellers.

And so we do not have a thread of 300 "not authorized dealer" posts, it literally is irrelevant whether it is purchased authorized or not. I bought my 65e7p from FCTV's last year, screen had terrible color distortion after 4000 hours, worse than image retention. After a few calls and mild complaining to LG they replaced the panel at no cost to me.

So please keep the warranty talk out of here because it doesn't void the warranty.

Anyways, enjoy this deal. My bedroom will have a nice upgrade to the 55" 1080p

Just keep in mind that the C9 has been very close to this price if you don't need the extra features of the E series. E9 has had some good deals lately too.

I'm surprised this got 2 thumbs down. There's a thread from this year at $2249 with multiple thumbs up. I know it's last years model but they are essentially the same tv, sans hdmi 2.1.

Did I do something wrong in the listing? This is an amazing price in my opinion.

The best price I saw on the E9 was over $500 more than this and currently not available on eBay at that price (bonus bucks on eBay right now)

He's talking about the C9

Which is functionally the same TV as the E9 other than different stand/speakers.

$20 more than this deal, to get a year newer model with newer processor and HDMI 2.1

Same seller even.

At a $500 difference I agree the E8 might well be worth considering over the C9... at $20 difference not so much.

Yeah knight you're right. I never really considered the C series because I wanted the speakers on the E. My E7 is mounted on a floor to ceiling fireplace, no receiver, so external speakers would be kind of tough. I watched a few comparison videos on the E8 to C9, I might cancel my E, get the C, and pair with something wireless for speakers.

BEWARE!

I placed an order for a TV with firstclasstv yesterday; last night I received a call from them saying I had to pay $147 for MANDATORY shipping insurance. Not only is this in itself a dealbreaker since it reveals the character of the seller, when I pushed back they informed me the carrier would be AM Trucking. I encourage anyone considering buying from firstclasstv to first take a look at the reviews for amtrucking on yelp or resellerratings; if the deceptive and probably illegal business practices of firstclasstv are not enough to dissuade you from doing business with them, then the horrible reviews of their chosen carrier will be.
