If you were going to buy this game anyway, this is as cheap as the 1X is going to get this year. This is basically $299 + the game. I don't know if you could resell the game though, it's probably a download code and not physical.
It will be the same price at Best Buy 11/15 if you want a local option.
Do keep in mind that next gen consoles are coming next year, so after Xmas we will probably see some deeper markdowns. I wouldn't buy a current gen console right now unless you just HAVE to.

I thought they all came with the 90 day live trials?
If you are upgrading and cool doing it again in a year or 2, go for it. MS has a good track record with backwards compatibility, no reason to think that games purchased now wouldn't work on next gen/scarlet. (OTOH I trust Sony's compatibility plans about as far as I can throw my PS4....we'll see. That's a whole other topic)
Don't hold your breath on 8k, none of that is set in stone. The chipset may have the "ability" to pump out 8k video (kind of like the 1S that can output video but not games at 4k?), but the odds of 8k gaming becoming a thing so soon is unlikely. Hell the 8k TVs are just starting to hit the market and they cost more than a car. I think both of the next gens will be happy to get 4k/60 reliably. All speculation at this point, nothing is real yet.

Looks like Best Buy has 3 months live as well. I'm on the fence. Have OG Day One Xbox one. It is struggling so would love to have the one x. But also feel like I might as wait one more year and get the project scarlet
Isn't project scarlet 8k? If so, then you would need to have a tv that supports 8k to get its full potential. Is it still worth it to pay for scarlet when you have only a 4k tv?

What does everyone think of the Xbox one all access plan? They are offering an Xbox One X console bundle with 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. So that includes xbox live as well for $30.99 per month for 24 months interest-free. However, you can upgrade to Project Scarlett at no extra cost when it comes out. You would need to trade in the One X console though. I guess it all really depends how much Scarlett will cost if this turns out to be a good deal or not - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox-All-Access
