Is the 512 for $60 a good deal too? I don't have a need for more space.
The coupon doesn't work for 512gb, otherwise it will be a good deal.

Before people asking if this drive is better than XXX, go through this document [borecraft.com], written by u/Newmaxx, and it should answer your question. You can also use this flowchart [borecraft.com] to see which drive is more suitable to you.

Yes, Inland Premium is also $99 @Microcenter, and both the Inland and Sabrent share the same hardware (supposely). The difference between the two drive is warranty (Sabrent has 5 year and Inland has 3 year). Choose which ever is more convenient to you.

Yes, the SX8200 Pro/GAMMIX S11 Pro from couple weeks ago (amazon lightning deal+ coupon) is the better deal simply because it's cheaper.

And before people talk about the switch and bait issue of Sabrent Rocket SSD, here is a discussion [reddit.com]on this topic.

Has anyone ordered one that would appear, but was unable to format? Wondering if I should order a replacement or just get a refund. I've had no issues with the Intel 660P, but ordered my first Rocket a few days ago and unable to get it formatted.

the E12S (which is the "new" controller) is just an E12 in a smaller process node.
For clarification: the controller package is just smaller, to make room for the additional NAND packages. It may or may not be in a smaller process node. Phison has announced intentions to move from 28nm to 12nm with its 4.0 controllers next year so this would be jumping the gun a bit, but I have no confirmation either way. Also, the E12S has a metal IHS, possibly to help with the smaller surface area. In either case: it's an E12.

Yeah that hp is nowhere as nice as your surface pro. Am I supposed to be impress you build your own desktop and work in technology sector? I mean I work for THE search company, are you impressed with my statement? Don't kid yourself thinking because you put ram and nvme into a $250 laptop, it will magically make it feel like $1000+ laptop. It will feel like a $250 laptop with upgraded performance and storage.
Man, relax. I was just saying different strokes for different folks. It's was a deal at $250 before the 10th gen i5 being put in it even first of all. Got this one to run some CNC work on a shapeoko and some 3d modeling on the side, which it'll be absolutely perfect for and is a lot more suitable for than my surface pro. Not sure why you're so angry man, Disney+ just came out, be happy!

Did you initialize the drive first?

Yeah, seems like there are a few Amazon reviews where drives failed to initialize. Ordered another to give it another shot.

Yes it does. Both are m.2 NVMe

m.2 SATA would be the other, older version of this form factor

I bought the 1TB about a month ago, It's much faster than any SATA SSD I have used. Here's my benchmark (MSI x470 pro/Ryzen 3700x). Picked up another for my Costco HP 14-dq1033cl, haven't installed it yet.
