how does this compare to BF deals? the only one I can find from the ads show an bistro 5590 i5 version at 569, which isn't half bad, though it doesn't have the dedicated graphics card.

What watt should I look for? What about a bistro with i5 no dedicated graphics?

I think you guys largely miss the point of this laptop. This is a Windows Pro machine that would work well for someone in an office running business programs where the laptop spends 95% of its time plugged in to AC and a monitor. (Screen resolution and battery size is not as important for these users.)

It is hard to find good deals on laptops with Window's Pro that also have a reasonably sized SSD. Most retail outlets won't sell you a laptop with Window's Pro and it is often not worth the bother to upgrade.

This may not be a good deal but the criticisms in this thread are from users that have different needs and expectations from the users that this PC is targeted at.

Not true. Nearly every laptop from all major manufacturers can add windows pro / or you can add it yourself very easily.

Dell
Asus
HP
MSI
Lenovo

all offer the ability select windows pro on the vast majority of their laptops priced around 1k

Even gaming 👽 Alienware laptops can add windows pro:

100% this.

It is a small battery because it's marketed towards employees that are mostly plugged in (this is the case for 80% of our employees and we buy a variation of this Vostro)
It's display isn't top tier because it's not meant to design from while on the go. If you're plugged into for power, you'll probably plug into a monitor. (Edit* a high quality screen would make that small battery feel smaller)
Speaking of plugging in, I'm surprised no one has whined about it's 1x1 wireless card. The company I order for does need higher WiFi standards so we always buy a WiFI 6 Killer chip for $35 on Amazon though.

This laptop is a great tool for a particular job. It's not meant to be a beast.

Would you suggest waiting on a better BF deal, if in the market for a laptop like this?
