I got this and the matching snowpants for my toddler to wear to daycare the last couple years. Warm enough. Takes enough abuse to last the winter (snow here from Oct-Mar...and later, though it usually doesn't stick). Does fine in the washer/dryer when he comes home having splashed in slush/mud/snow 5x a week.

Got one for my son who's about to be 3. Usually good quality. Good for this winter and next.

I bought this brand a few times and found the quality is consistently lower than carters, which is already a brand on the cheap side. So I will stay with carters as bottom line

How much is a comparable Carters coat? $11 is tough to beat or expect too much from.

To be fair though, most kids clothing is outgrown long before it is worn out. I'm still wearing the same jackets bought 4 or 5 years ago with my newest jacket being 2 years old. One of my kids didn't exist yet and the other would've been wearing newborn clothes. If you live in the south, this jacket may be worn for 30 hours max before it is donated away, so for $12, it's definitely worth it. If you live up north and expect a kid to be wearing this several hours per day all winter, then yeah, it's probably a good idea to get something higher quality.

I stopped at children's place in Monday to get one, and I was shocked at how super-thin the material was. It's like they barely filled them with any polyester.

I ended up buying the sports jacket with the fake wool lining, because it was significantly thicker and warmer than this (also nicer). I wouldn't want my child using this below 55 because it was that thin.
