Romer-G switches feel like MX browns without the bite. Super mushy when bottomed out. I may even prefer rubber domes to these.

Keycap mount is also proprietary, so keycap sets are out the window as well.

If you're going to go mechanical and you simply must have a crappy store brand, go Corsair with Cherry MX switches and skip this. Logitech's got great mice, but their keyboard department is severely lacking. I wouldn't touch this board for any more than $10.

That's a great deal. Over the years all of my nice and keyboards have slowly become fully Logitech as they simply have the best balance of quality, service, and price. Wish there would be a tenkeyless version of this for a similar price!

Is this mostly for office/typing use, or this this good for gaming?

Typing from this exact keyboard right now. It's a great office keyboard.
I wouldn't mind it for gaming either.

I play in the dark though so the lack of back-light would be my only complaint.

Keyboard is not too noisy.
