This seems like a great deal to me so I am posting.

Home Depot is selling the Dewalt 15 Amp Corded 12 in. Double-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw for $399.
Model # DWS779...
This is the saw...

When you buy the saw, they throw in the 32-1/2 in. x 60 in. Rolling Miter Saw Stand for free...
Model # DWX726

This is the stand..

They are calling it the "DeWalt PBF Promo"

QA note: Link to purchase combo online [homedepot.com]

To sweeten the pot, they give you $25 off if you sign up for the Home Depot card. (Which I suppose you can get for anything in this price range)

And to sweeten the pot a little further, because I signed up for the card, the cashier was able to knock another $25 off. I have no idea how she did it...and I was not going to argue.

This brings the Saw and the Rolling stand down to $349 + tax.

But..since the last $50 seems to hinge on the card, I left it out of the Title.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Seems like a great deal. I paid $315 for the saw a month ago.

I got the DWS779 with free DWX723 stationary stand for $315+tax last year (after 10% off coupon). Yes, it's a big saw and it was tricky to get dialed in, but it's completely adjustable in every way and I haven't had any issue with with loosing alignment. However, it's sliding and that can sometime seem slightly out of alignment on wide pieces, but I haven't investigated it much more than that.

I did add the Dewalt DWS779 XPS Work Light Upgrade Kit [mmtoolparts.com] which helps a ton (and basically makes it into a DWS780 saw) since the base saw doesn't even have a laser cut guide. Overall, it's a great saw and a great price, but it is large. I don't know that I really needed on this big, but I have made use of it's size already. Just be sure you have somewhere to put it since it needs quite a bit of space behind it to allow for the swing and sliding features!
I have a DWS779 and also added the XPS Work Light Kit. It sits on top of a Ridgid rolling stand. The light is a great upgrade. So far I've only cut base boards but it has worked extremely well.

What do you mean inaccurate? Does it lose alignment easily?
In general, smaller miter saws are more accurate. I would imagine a sliding miter saw would be less accurate than a similar non-sliding saw.

If you get this in store, and you live near a Menards, you can submit your receipt online for an additional 11% rebate. Rebate is in the form of a home Depot gift card.

Home Depot has that as a special buy deal at: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL.../203068923
For that price, buy this combo, get the worklight kit and spend 15 minutes installing it to save over $100. I did and it's very easy. In case you didn't know, the 779 is essentially the same saw without the light.

Lowe's has the exact same deal except the saw and stand is $350 which is $50 less than this and you don't have to sign up for a credit card
It's different

you are exactly right. I made a huge mistake on that one. it is a buy one, get one deal but for the next model up at $600. definitely a better deal with home Depot. good catch and thanks for fact checking me

It is the exact same saw (DWS779). Home Depot just has the combo posted as a deal. Lowe's is having it as a buy one, get one deal. I work at Lowe's and they have them stacked out in aisles with signs on them since last week
Can you get the DWX723 with the DWS779 at Lowes instead of the rolling stand? If so, price is $350 for both?

I made a mistake and was fact checked. It is the next model up with a free stand for $600. As others have pointed out, a light kit on this model is the better deal

I messed up and was fact checked. It is the next model up with a free stand. This home Depot deal is definitely better. If you are military or have any discount at Lowe's, I would ask them to price match

I purchased this saw on a previous deal and while it is considerably heavier than my old Craftsman 10" I'm also not dragging it around to different jobsites, It is an awesome saw, I find it extremely accurate with tons of power.

Any idea if I can buy the combo, keep the stand and return the saw?
I would like to know the answer to this as well

This guys says that the 779 and the 780 are not the same saw inside. Just an FYI.
Personally, I'm holding out for the 780 even though it's way overkill for me.
