This seems like a great deal to me so I am posting.

Home Depot is selling the Dewalt 15 Amp Corded 12 in. Double-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw for $399.
Model # DWS779...
This is the saw...

When you buy the saw, they throw in the 32-1/2 in. x 60 in. Rolling Miter Saw Stand for free...
Model # DWX726

This is the stand..
[URL="https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-32-1-2-in-x-60-in-Rolling-Miter-Saw-Stand-DWX726/202935041[/URL]

They are calling it the "DeWalt PBF Promo"

QA note: Link to purchase combo online [homedepot.com]

To sweeten the pot, they give you $25 off if you sign up for the Home Depot card. (Which I suppose you can get for anything in this price range)

And to sweeten the pot a little further, because I signed up for the card, the cashier was able to knock another $25 off. I have no idea how she did it...and I was not going to argue.

This brings the Saw and the Rolling stand down to $349 + tax.

But..since the last $50 seems to hinge on the card, I left it out of the Title.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I got the DWS779 with free DWX723 stationary stand for $315+tax last year (after 10% off coupon). Yes, it's a big saw and it was tricky to get dialed in, but it's completely adjustable in every way and I haven't had any issue with with loosing alignment. However, it's sliding and that can sometime seem slightly out of alignment on wide pieces, but I haven't investigated it much more than that.

I did add the Dewalt DWS779 XPS Work Light Upgrade Kit [mmtoolparts.com] which helps a ton (and basically makes it into a DWS780 saw) since the base saw doesn't even have a laser cut guide. Overall, it's a great saw and a great price, but it is large. I don't know that I really needed on this big, but I have made use of it's size already. Just be sure you have somewhere to put it since it needs quite a bit of space behind it to allow for the swing and sliding features!

Last month, I paid $300 for Dewalt Miter Saw DWS779 @ Lowe's. So, consider this deal as paying full price for the miter saw and get 50% off on the stand DWX726.

I love the stand, but the saw is a big and heavy monster and pretty inaccurate compared to smaller options.

Before you buy a 12" slider make sure that you actually need that large of a cut capacity. But if you do get a 12" slider, a good stand like this is a must if you need portability (otherwise build it into a workbench).

What do you mean inaccurate? Does it lose alignment easily?

Awesome deal. Please dont sign up for a credit card for $25 (or $50). Google miles and points credit card bonuses. I only go in for values of at least $450.

I bit, thanks! Will still keep an eye out for a similar deal for the DW780 and stand.

I was looking for this saw to drop down to $300 (current best price is $350). But with the free stand, this makes the deal an easy decision. In for one.

I say if you're on the fence let it rip (hee hee). But really I spent around $279 for the saw during the Acme deal and picked up the ridged stand for $100. This is in the ballpark. And for those who say it doesn't cut straight they need to figure out how to hold the object they are cutting. I ain't saying there's no problems but that's usually the problem with uneven cuts.

Agreed, $25 or even $50 to open another credit card is a horrible deal.

The alignment settings are fine, but there is too much slop in the slides and hinges compared to my smaller saws. The blade moves back and forth about 1/8", so I have to set it up with the blade pushed towards one side and then remember to push it that way when making the cut.

If I'm just pumping out deck boards or 2x4s for a construction project, it's no big deal, but I would never try to accurately cut window trims or make cabinet doors with this beast. The old $100 10" non-slider that this was supposed to replace makes much more reliable and repeatable cuts.
