Normal price seems to be $140-$200, so good deal, iv'e used samsonite in the past with much luck, although from what i hear the quality has been going down in recent years

Use TURNITAPP for $15 off $75 purchase within the app. Brings it to $113 after taxes are taken out.

Wish I was eligible for that. Anyone know the quality of this vs the samsonite pivot? Have a set of those already trying to compare against

I learned the hard way, purchased during the last sale Samsonite pivot, that one or this one does not meet airline requirements of sizing 62 linear inches, this one is 64 inches and im not sure if that measurement includes side handles.

Hmm that one is 29" vs this one 28". Although you're right it's still 2 inches over. I guess you had to pay extra?

Yes that one is 66" so can see them having a greater chance of measuring that one

Agreed. It's better to hold off on something that has double wheels. Single wheels don't last as long and will break.

Didnt have an issue for domestic flight with Alaska, but international $200 extra charge for each way is to much of a risk to chance it .

Which airline measures the dimensions of check-in ? I know they will weight it but haven't experience them measuring dimension. Is it something new?

I don't know any airline that doesn't make sure dimensions are within their specifications, The reason they need you to be within a size is so the check-in can safely fit into the overhead storage. You pose a danger to other passengers by having a check-in bag too big and airlines don't want to put up with liabilities.

That's not a check-in, that's a carry-on.
