You can get the slightly better 7 series for $20 more from Costco (or Best Buy when you price match with Costco) . It has decent ratings on rtings.com. Has airplay 2 inbuilt, google assistant and Alexa compatible. And don't forget you can also use your Amex $30 credit back on $300 with best buy

From a consumer reports perspective, the reliability of the LG and Samsung are far better than TCL and a lot of these cheaper brands.

Purchased this past week a 55" inch 4k LG for $299 at bestbuy to replace my 15 year old 54" Hitachi that finally crapped out. Absolutely beautiful picture and could careless what the specs are. Probably be considered junk by some in 10 years because the specs, but I'm sure I will be enjoying it just as much as I have this past week of having it.

Isn't this a pretty good deal? Similar quality to the hisense, and only wasn't recommended by rtings because of its price. This vs a 50" TCL for same price?

Edit: nvm this isnt the NU6900

Everything depends upon the user.

The TCL is built to mainly be a streaming display as it is menu driven and performs better at that, while the LG is better for broadcast TV watching.

The 7 Series was actually marked down to $290 last week at Best Buy for 'members'. I'm sure it will be back.

Not this if you plan on playing sports all day.. refresh rate is low. Try to get something 120+ in my opinion. I'm sure someone else can chime in with a direct link to a good product. Best of luck on the new business!

An LG like this one for better picture quality or a cheap Samsung which will be reliable also.

You probably need an IPS panel to allow maximum viewing angle and good refresh rate for sports. LG usually have many IPS panels, but their 50" in 7 series mentioned in above comments is a VA panel.
