For this monitor, the drawbacks would only be low pixel density. 1080p at 34 is just not that great. But other than that it's good, but there are better options if you are not strictly gaming.

Thanks not gaming at all aside from Flight Simulator(s). Mostly work stuff but like having the best available.

Sure thing, look for an ultrawide 34 inch QHD monitor. So much more real estate.I bought the MSI MAG341CQ for 320 and it's a good balance.

Trying to stick with Dell or LG (have had great experience with both over the years)

I had the 75mhz one and it was really nice for gaming. This is even better at 144hz. The nice thing about this monitor is that the pixel is lesser so more GPU can push to higher refresh rate. U don't need a rtx 2080ti. Going with 3440x1440p with 120-165hz require a very high end gpu. Also the PQ was still beautiful although it is 2560x1080p.

I as well had the 75hz version, and while 2560x1080 is ok, the pixels are still visible (even with AA) and it just bothered me too much to keep it... Suffice to say ultrawide qhd with at least 100hz is the way to go

Unless you know you want 1080p specifically, on a 34", you should avoid this. If you're just a casual gamer (or not at all) and will mainly use this for web/email/productivity, then definitely avoid.

Why not use this for productivity?
