This is part of Newegg's "Early Black Friday" deals. Not a spectacular deal but RAM is already pretty cheap nowadays.

Same item (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB) is $65 at Microcenter.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Pretty good deal, I'm holding off though to get the TridentZ rgb when the go on sale. I believe they're going to be like $77. Not a huge discount either

If I already have 16GB of g.skill ram (I forget the model but it has rgb but not the crystal one) is it ok to get this? I'll be using all 4 slots on my mobo. Is it ok to get 2 different sets of ram or should they be exactly the same?

IIRC you can mismatch ram, but only run at the lowest compatible speed.

you always want an even number of ram modules. so 8x2 is always better than 16x1. price should be similar

No deals on ecc
server udimm ram https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/frown.gif
black friday sales are on consumer grade products mostly. Used 16gb ecc udimm ram can be found for $50 on ebay most of the time.

Having two sticks run in Dual Channel tends to perform better then having 1 high capacity stick. Also, if one of the two fails, at least you have one of the two to spare. Sorry did not mean to create a tongue twister.
