Bought this back in September. It is very low quality and not soft like the others that I have. It still functions but I only use it in emergencies.

Crib/toddler mattresses are usually plastic anyway. A waterproof cover seems like a waste of money. (I bought one a few years ago and never used it.)

True, but it is nice to just pull off the mattress pad and throw it in the washer since you have to wash the sheets anyway. Otherwise you have to hand wash the mattress which isn't that terrible I guess, but it adds to the 3 AM, bed wetting, frustration.

I have an all memory foam mattress (kid sleeps better with it) and it could definitely be ruined
