Correct, that's why people are referring to it as a left handed saw.
It was explained to me that a right handed saw has the blade on the right side. You want to hold the main handle with your "right" hand and the secondary handle with your left so that your arms do not cross the blade. That is why it is called right handed. Judging by all the different opinions it is used differently by others and Dewalt and other manufacturers don't seem to make a distinction. It is strange Dewalt makes both versions in their 20 volt and not the flexvolt. I guess they just made the version that sold the most in the 20volt version?

Always a combo with something I already have https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/frown.gif I need a hammer drill and could probably use an angle grinder
Home depot has a hammer drill with a battery (dewalt brushless) for 159 (47% off) I have one in my cart, just really don't have a need for one right now, but it's tempting.

A lot of people not liking that I called it a left handed saw....sure you can use it just fine with your right hand but if you actually like to see where the blade is going to cut (which most people prefer) and not just go off the line that's engraved on the plate then you still might want the saw with the blade on the other side. I thought the comment was helpful...But y'all some naysayers...

I'm a tool newb but I'd love to get into more word working. Pine wood derby is on the horizon. Any recommendations on which of these tools, if any, are ideal for working on derby cars with my sons?

Not these.

You need a pull saw [homedepot.com], some sandpaper [homedepot.com], and maybe a cheap little drill.

I suspected these might be overkill. Thanks so much for the information.

This is now down to $299.00 Now we are talking a deal...

Are we still beating the dead horse of left vs right hand saws?
