The best deal I've seen for a lens like this. 300mm means massive zoom, nearly telephoto (not quite, but still impressive), so if you're a Nikon shooter in the market for one of these things, I'd recommend it

I think this is a great deal. The 70-300 that's more commonly available is without VR and that handicaps that lens greatly. Tripod only shots if you want to zoom!

I have this lens and shot a couple of graduations without tripod recently. Far from a pro but got a few shots that wouldn't have been possible without long glass especially if you don't have a spot close to the walkway or stage!

AF-P means you can go to the focus ring anytime to manually focus. No need to flip the switch and miss the shot. With a closer subject, this lens blurs backgrounds well at the wider end of the lens. Really happy with the shots I got. VR makes a notable difference but you still need a steady hand at the tele end of the lens.

Not sure if it would benefit you as the VR and autofocus will not work with the adapter. I think this adapter will work

Any idea if this works for Nikon 1 S1? Looking for a good zoom lens for my older camera

The non-VR lens works fine in good light, surprisingly. But all else being equal, VR is better...especially if you're trying to get any action shots in lower light.

You need Nikon's FT1 mount adapter to use F mount (DSLR) lenses on a Nikon 1 body. It isn't cheap and there are limitations when using the FT1 adapter.

No, it is too old to work with DX (APS-C crop sensor) AF-P lenses.
