Hey yall! Have any of you seen any mail in rebates this year for Acronis True Image? Usually they had a few deals like this by now, but not one this year yet for 2019 or 2020.

It is unclear which version of the product this is. Acronis True Image comes in 3 versions. Standard, Advanced and Premium.

https://www.acronis.com/en-us/per...omparison/

Which is this one?

I would guess Standard if it had to be any... I didn't see anything about X amount of cloud storage under specs.

Can always use Macrium Reflect free, or install Linux alongside Windows and use free disc backup tools on Linux

Thanks, OP! I am using Acronis True Image since over a decade and it works very reliable for me with some restores performed over the years.

The only backup product that I've used that produced an unrestorable backup. On my hot girlfriends daughters laptop. Never again. Free Macrium Reflect has been flawless.

I used this back in the day as an IT Engineer and it was great. This software absolutely is horrific now. I didn't use is much anymore since most of my time was working on Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel, Juniper, CheckPoint, etc. I did find a replacement that is just awesome and it's AOMEI Backupper. The Tech version is awesome and fast. Many options and does a great job. Just my 2 cents. I wouldn't take Acronis nor use if it was being offered for free.

I used to use a FAR version and stopped just because it was so bad. I second the vote for Macrium Reflect.

Oh,... no. I bought Acronis True Image and now in process to return. It never recognizes my M.2 drive doesn't matter how hard I tried. A lot of people currently have the same issue and reported to Acronis. Found no fix till now. Don't trust me, just google it yourself.

Do you know if AOMEI can see NVMe M.2 drives?
Thanks.

Yes, the software supports it. But it do not support the 4096 sector disk. This information was back in 2016 so you know the support for other drives has been added. This is the best hands down backup, imaging, cloning, etc software I've ever seen. Run from within the OS, USB boot drive, or CD/DVD.

I have the Tech Edition Plus and its does so much more. https://www.aomeitech.com/ab/comparison.html

The computer I am using right now boots from Western Digital Black NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB (2018). M.2 2280 refers to the overall physical size, not whether it is PCIe or SATA. PCIe has requirements of a certain number of CPU lanes to function. You can have a motherboard that is fully compatible, memory, everything else. If the CPU doesn't have the correct number of lanes, you won't get the full bandwidth.

I use Acronis True Image and regularly back up my WD NVMe drive. No issues for me.
