Ha. I totally misread the title. I thought they were giving out a free Google home with a trial! I have read it several times now, and realize it could go either way. For what it's worth, I the "dress" looked gold to me, lol!

OK, I've tried Sirius in my truck twice over the past couple of years during their free trials.

My personal experience is that the sound quality is absolutely atrocious and essentially 'unlistenable' for music. Is it just my truck? are there 'good' Sirius receivers that get decent sound quality?

Does this home device just stream Sirius over the internet and thus deliver better quality?

Cancelling is a horror. You cannot cancel online. Phone only. It's doable, but they will try to retain you. SD didn't give me my promised rebate on a previous deal, and these people still tried to offer me a deal after I told them I was very angry about that. Get ready to be very firm with them and demand cancellation.

DON'T use a standard credit or debit card. I used Privacy.com.

I've had it off and on for about 14 years. The add on device that runs they an fm signal is questionable quality usually, but I upgraded to a pioneer touchscreen head unit with built in satellite a few years ago, and it sounds amazing. As good as any MP3 player, at least as good as cd quality.

Sirius XM satellite broadcast bitrate for music is between 40 and 64kbps which means horrible quality (compare to mp3 which needs to be at least 256kbps or even better 320kbps to provide "near cd" quality).

Never understood the need for XM with all the music/podcast streaming services out these days, but i suppose i could give it a go.

Never had any issues with sound in anything I've listened on.

I've listened to it in numerous cars, including brand new ones, and it has never sounded good to me. I seriously question anyone who says it sounds "great". I want to like Sirius, since I think they do have some good stations, but the quality is just absolutely horrendous.
