Been doing extensive research for my ITX build. This is currently the cheapest of the three X570 ITX motherboards from Asrock, Gigabyte, and Asus.

I have this board and it works great without a BIOS update for the launch 3000 series CPUs. It's also 1 of 2 x570 boards with a Thunderbolt3 port. It's the OEM Intel TB3 software as well. Be aware there is only 4 other USB ports though AND you need an Intel 1155 compatible cooler. AMD wraiths don't work!

Damn! That's weird, I've never seen an AMD board that uses Intel mounting like that... I never would have noticed. Thanks for the heads up!

I was looking at pairing this board with a 3400g in a Pico case until I found out the thunderbolt doesn't support external graphics. This makes the board overpriced imo.

Actually it's one of three boards that have Thunderbolt 3. The other two are the ASRock X570 Creator and X570 AQUA. Although both of those boards share the same PCB, difference is in cooling.

You gotta question your motives for a mini ITX if this is the cost!!!

Unless you're in a tiny home or a Japanese cube apartment I think you can manage just going mATX (which is mostly cheaper than other motherboards)

Anyway. Actual comment about ASRock rgb. I have an ASRock 1st Gen ryzen board and the rgb is glitched to hell and beyond. I somehow managed to turn them off after very little help from their CS. Updated bios and everything before contacting them. And they sent me 'instructions' after I told them I wasn't trying to RMA the board.. the instructions required intensive googling...

I'm sticking with the B450 chipset for all the ITX builds I do.

X570 costs too much and all the boards have chipset fans, along with higher power consumption.

Maybe B550 is on the way, but if it still has high power consumption I'll skip these 500 series chipsets altogether.

It is more about how it looks in a living room setting for me. My itx build is with themaltake v1 core and most people don't realize I have a PC hooked up to my living room TV.
