If you are a spec nerd, sure. Tried both a Note 10+ and the Pixel 4XL and the Pixel is by far the better experience.

What was better about it, specifically?

Pixel Android >>>>>>>> OneUI junk, Face Unlock performance, Snappier Google Assistant, Soli features, 90hz screen

This year Google screwed up on the Pixel 4 by putting 90hz smooth motion and then making the battery smaller. Not much changes or enhancement elsewhere besides the soli sensor but seems more of a gimmick that Google will not be further expanding. For Pixel 4 XL 128GB at $800 after discount, you can get pretty much any of the current Android flagship that will blow this Pixel 4 out of the water. With that being said, I will be buying my Pixel 4 XL on Black Friday.. One thing that you cant put a price on is the camera and google pure experience.

The flagships are all also going to be discounted on BF. Following your logic, why not get one of those, instead? Just playing devil's advocate - I am genuinely curious about which is the better selection here.

Agreed on the pure google experience being far better, but the other things you cited are either gimmicks or half baked IMO. It's hard to argue with a Note10's battery life, performance, and specs at this price.

I just used Soli while getting food in the crock pot as my hands were dirty..ram management has been fine for me, the extra ram didn't give me much on my time with the Note compared to this. I use a lot of cloud storage so I'm only using 28GB of space but I can see your point there.

Battery life is within 15 mins SOT for me, so not a huge deal. I think battery life has been overstated on the XL side of the fence.

It's all on personal preference but the experience for me over the Note 10+ has been better IMO.

I've also been using the recorder transcribing as well as the built in transcribing when watching content a lot more than I thought I would.

pixels are looking like stone aged versions in smart phone market (coming from pixel fan).. just got note 10+ to check it out over pixel 3xl...

with that said.. if at all google comes up with pixel 3xl like promotion of last year, would happily get back to pixels... which is highly likely now as pixel 4's aint selling much with apple feeding their fan boys with cheaper versions and unheard of promotions.. and samsung aint sitting idle either.. Eventually google would have to dump the inventory before holidays are over.

Everything on paper is showing the Samsung S10/Note10 on top of the Pixel 4 which is probably is except for the camera. The reason for my choice and it was not easy is because of a couple of pts that I cant compromise on.

Google Pure experience with none of Samsung Cloud or priority apps that forces you to use/update constantly (it gets annoying after a while)
Camera
Guaranteed 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates
