This uses basic high speed flash which has good sequential throughput, but terrible random write throughput. This kind of drive is great for copying a bunch of photos or videos or other big files to/from, but would cry like a baby if you used it for any processing tasks like a resource drive in Windows.

Sabrent's a pretty reliable "small" company. I have their nvme 1Tb drive and it's fantastic. I've bought various things from them in the past, and most have held up well. I would not consider them "top tier," but in the budget category, I consider them reliable
