Maybe it's just me but at this price range itd expect at least 144hz display. Looks to be a more productive line of monitors. Seems ok if that your need
Where will you find a 144hz 1440p ips monitor for $270? Confused

I'm hoping the newer U2719DC goes on sale soon. It's got the USB C connector for input.
I am actually returning a U2719DC to Fry's this week. It just didn't perform the way I expeced it too. I opted for the LG 27UK850. I'm much happier with the LG.

Not everyone here is a gamer Smilie The Ultrasharp series is designed for color accuracy, not speed.
But we can have both if we buy a lesser brand.

Ultrasharp series also make good gaming monitors. I game on mine a ton and have zero complaints.

This is an inane argument that relies on a false dichotomy. It's not hard to find gaming monitors with similar or better color accuracy in the same price range. The Acer VG271UP has gone on sale in this price range several times, and has slightly better color accuracy along with a 144Hz display and variable refresh rate support. The Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD has the same panel and features as the Acer, and has also gone on sale for a similar price. When this U2717D doesn't even outperform those monitors in terms of color accuracy, and you still don't get the gamer features that actually cost a good bit more to manufacture, what are you paying for? It is totally reasonable to expect more from a non-144Hz display in this price range, whether it's better color accuracy than this actually has or other features. I encourage everyone to do their own research instead of making baseless judgments. The Ultrasharp series built its reputation because it was head and shoulders above most of its competition. That's no longer the case.
