So I have two of these at work (do video/photo and web design for my job) and for the most part, it's a great monitor. The video cable or the connector becomes loose from time to time which loses a signal which can be annoying. I do have it calibrated with ColorMunki (standard one) and seem to get decent results. I do wish instead of 1440 pixel height it was a bit higher. Other than that, I thought about asking for a third for video editing as more space is always nice...

So would you say worth the price or look elsewhere?

I have one of these now, will probably order two more when urlhasbeenblocked cb is at 15% during BF. Best monitor I have for office work. Doesn't strain my eyes.
I only use Ultrasharp monitors for that reason. Anyone who uses a monitor for work, you mus look up Pulse Width Modulation! It kills the eyes:

I have a Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitor that I bought 5 years ago this week for the same price as this U2717 on sale. Worth the upgrade? Right now my resolution is: 1920X1080. I don't game and I don't watch movies on my PC. I use multiple instances of Word, Excel open. I run Edge with 10 tabs, Chrome with 10 tabs, Skype and Outlook for Office. What would the 27" monitor really do for me? With web browsers now having tabs... you don't need multiple instances of Edge or Chrome open all at once. Thanks!

I use this at work - great for Excel, Word, Power Point etc. tables and office apps. Colors are great as well. Crisp resolution, and handy for databases, report interfaces etc. as well. Better than this would be only the ultra wide screen 34", since you can basically have two screens on it, but that is around $800-1000.

Not everyone here is a gamer Smilie The Ultrasharp series is designed for color accuracy, not speed.
Needing 2 monitors 26-34". Primary use will be work say 80% and then 20% gaming. Looking for 2k monitor (something more than 1080p) Can someone suggest a current Black Friday deal that would work for me. Too many options and I am just at a loss.

But we can have both if we buy a lesser brand.

Lesser brand will HURT YOUR EYES.

This is garbage and not even worth $100 if no USB - C.
