Been using this 12" pan for years. Kicks butt. Handle is a little weird though.

Use it more than my tri-ply all clad pan since I don't bad about taking it from pan to under running water in the sink for a quick clean

The 8 and 10 inch skillets have a $10 and $12 rebate respectively
I didn't see the $12 rebate for the 10 inch?

skip the ridges. Why settle for 30% seared bits instead of 90%?

New to cast iron. What is the best way to protect a glass-top stove when using the cast iron? Can you use a diffuser and still cook w/high heat?
I collect and restore cast iron and use mine on a glass top stove everyday without issue. Just don't drag it around the top; rather lift and place gently. For this price, the Victoria is a no-brainer. Great pan that just gets better if you take care of it. That said, if you are a serious cook, hit estate sales or eBay for vintage smooth cast iron as another poster suggested. I use vintage for cooking and the cheap stuff for the grill or campfire.

Cast iron is cast iron, the brand doesn't matter much. Pans with a rougher finish will smooth out over time if you use a metal spatula on them. This is a great deal.
