I bought at Costco for $349 last week. Solid picture, nice platform, home layout. The "magic remote" is a bit gimmicky, but does what it promises. Google Assistant and Alexa built in. LG doesn't seem to have an ESPN app which was a minor disappointment, but had Disney+ app ready when I hooked up.

I think it's YMMV. The one near me was able to price match

I'm torn between this , the Hisense hf8 , Vizio M and Tcl 6 series all at a similar price point give or take $100. Anyone have any input ?

What's more important to you? Good enough HDR of the Vizio M, TCL 6 or wide viewing angle on this TV?

Same here, torn between this and the Vizio M-Series. This seems to be good enough and what I'm leaning towards since the Vizio upscaling kind of sucks and the person I'm buying for would be watching tv and OTA.

Wide viewing angle does not matter to me since this would be in the bedroom and watched straight on but up-scaling from the cable box is very important as well as HDR being decent. I know the M sucks from what I have read regarding its upscaling but I am unsure of how this TV is compared to it. The TCL 6 from what I have read almost blows everything out of the water but is also a $500-$600 TV .

The Hisense H8F image quality will blow you away with proper settings like should be made on any TV. I'm thinking of posting mine since it looks so amazing.

In my opinion and after buying and using both the Vizio M 55" and the Hisense 55H8F . .. the Hisense offers a higher contrast, deep but not over saturated color and brighter picture than the Vizio M. Also, upscaling on the Vizio M was dismal . . . the Hisense H8F is very good upscaling 720p and even 480 from DVD and most secondary TV station channels.

The Hisense also is better than the last 3 VA panel TVs I've had for off axis viewing. It fades, off axis but not as much or as soon as my 2015 Vizio M50-C1.

If want a bit more off axis viewing performance, the LG is better, but at the sacrifice of a "gray" black level and less picture depth. The contrast ratio and black level are what helps make a more 3D look to images.

The TCL 6 series is very similar to the Hisense 55H8F and differs mainly in panel response time which may or may not be important to gamers.
I chose the Hisense because I did not want to go through finding a TCl with a good panel and it the Hisense was also available and at a better price. There are a lot of TCL refurbs or return unit out there.
Check my other postings where I have attached pictures of a few phone pics of my Hisense.

Again. . I refer to Rtings and the comparison of the LG UM7300 and Hisense 55H8F - -

TCL scores the best at rtings.com, but is a step up in price.

Forgot about the HiSense, also scores high, not familiar with their reliability but rtings loves the company.
