This looks like excellent specs for the price and weight class, bundled w/ Costco warranty. Does anyone know if the RAM is user upgradable/max limit? Anything else that might go against this?

This looks like the upper tier version of the $280 laptop that was front page last week. Upgrading should most likely be the exact same process.

Dammit why do these manufacturers keep putting together the configurations with the 1065G7 processor but WITHOUT wifi 6? Surely the wifi 6 chip can't add that much cost! (I get them skipping the higher speed RAM but the wifi 6 absence annoys me)

Can't really find it but I think HP's similar laptops have advertised up to 10 hours with real world reports more like 4 hours and as low as 2 hours.

Torn between this and the 13.3 Envy at Microsoft. Is the build quality, screen and battery life much worse on this one?

This looks like a fantastic deal for the price as far as spec's go, however I usually like to see some reviews before buying into a laptop. Does anyone have any experience with this computer at all as far as battery life/screen brightness?

Yes. Envy is a midrange laptop build ($800-$2000), while the HP 14/15 is a basic build ($200-$1000).

HP14/15: You're going to get the power you want, but you'll have to listen to loud fans, loud touch pad, feel the plastic and heat, and plastic screen.

HP Envy: Premium build, quiet fans, non-upgradable, smooth and light, can upgrade to gorilla glass touchscreen
