It's one of those, "man... I wish I had these set" tools during a job, but rarely use.

Saves you a ton of trouble if you do have them Smilie I've got the Craftsman set, and actually use it a lot more than I thought I would. Nice deal OP!!

I highly recommend a set like this for working on modern equipment.

Before I got my screwdriver, allen, and torx sockets I would often approximate the same thing with a bit holding socket and the bits that usually come in those general-use mechanic's tool sets.

Got this set several months ago, don't recall what I paid. This is a nice set and seems strong, I use it on my Jeeps and a few other places. I used it to remove some stuck bolts. Only thing don't expect these or most others to handle breaker bar type bolt removal, else you might be looking at a twisted or snapped bit. (Damn you Jeep for using torque bolts that get rusted into place.)

Anyone casually working on European cars will appreciate the torx & hex sockets pretty regularly. Not the SAE sizes ofc.

I have never needed or wished for a socket for screws though, especially at 3/8. Do like my little 1/4" bit shank ratchet for furniture assembly & working on my MTB.

Exactly. I have the Craftsman set from when SYWR points were insane and tools were basically free. I rarely have used the set but whenever I have needed it, it definitely saved me a lot of hassle and frustration.
