12-months prepaid for $191.90 at Amazon. Normal price is $239 for the student/teacher version for 12-months. Non-student version is $359/year

https://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Crea...B07Q6ZPBZY

This goes on sale typically only once a year in November for only a day or so.

There are a few ways to qualify as a 'student', the easiest is having access to a .EDU email address.

1. Any .edu email address works. Whether it's yours, your kids, or otherwise. Many colleges provide these free for alumni of the school.

2. If you have a kid in school, then you can qualify even if they don't have a school provided email address, they just ask for alternate data to confirm student status.

Student needs to be 13 years or older, just an FYI.

Anyone know if you already have a subscription, that this will add a year to that or if the year starts when it's purchased?

This is good, but there are equally good, if not better alternatives for far cheaper/free out there. Off the top of my head I can tell you GIMP is as good as Photoshop.
False. GIMP is a fantastic open source alternative to Photoshop in a pinch. But its not every bit as good, not by a long-shot.

In terms of value, options, compatibility, Affinity Photo is the closest in quality and a nice mid-point between the two.

But in particular, part of the problem you'll run into with using non-Adobe suite products, unless its as a casual user, is your experience will not be applicable or transfer into most workplaces. (Not all, most).

So how does this work? You have to buy it through Amazon Digital Services and then connect your Adobe account to Amazon to transfer the license? And who does the checking for student verification? Amazon or Adobe?

By the way, looks like you can get this pricing directly at Adobe right now too, which makes more sense to me.

My $15.99/month deal from last year ended this month and started at $29.99/month. Im thinking about trying canceling it and renewing with this deal again. Wonder if itll work. Anyone else tried that before?

This thread actually reminded me to go cancel. So I just went to do that online at Adobe, and they offered to continue me on at the $15.99/month.

So I would highly suggest you trying that.

HA! JUST got done doing that and they did the same! Thats why I posted that LINK to the reddit thread. Looks like anyone on any plan can get a discount just by requesting to cancel!

Sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC. ????

I believe the reviews are based on Adobe itself and the fact that most still hate its move to a monthly membership vs a one time fee that it used to be.

I went to cancel (cause I've been forgetting to anyway...) and they offered me two months free.
