Uh, this is not the general consensus. The 3600 and 3700 are probably the best consumer bang-for-the-buck right now. Unless you need a 9900K, there's no reason to get anything other than Ryzen at this point.

Maybe you just don't know. How to build a PC.

Running a stable 3600 all day all night 24/7.

Just Grabbed one from reddit post! Returning the 3600 from eBay deal yesterday when it arrives, couldn't turn this down for an extra $12. Great deal!

Ryzen CPUs are unstable and run idle hot temps, especially the latest generation.

Unless you love tinkering or troubleshooting your CPU, just stick with Intel for now. I don't appreciate BSoDs and ram incompatability and application crashes from Ryzen.

Thanks for the post! I had just decided to hope for a sale on the 3600 and just overclock myself. But picking up the 3600x for the same price is a no brainer!

Ya I dunno what he's talking about, my buddy has a 3700x and he's not having any overheating issues, and it's a beast performance wise.

Not a great deal, wait a few more months for it to be around 120-150$. 1st Gen Threadripper 12 core processors are around this price.
This is better for gamers while threadripper is more for professional usage.

Grrr... Black Friday muuust waaaait. Honestly the $170 2700x due next week is what I'm going for. The 3600x isn't anything special over the 3600 meaning at 200 it's priced Right not great. Plus the 2700x comes with a better cooler. Not bad tho.

Literally just ordered the 3600 and was able to cancel in time! To get the 3600x and either BL3 or Outer Worlds through the 'Raise the game' bundle for $5 more than the 3600 is a no brainer! Thanks!
