The toner set for this printer is $320. The cheap knock off ebay replacements run about $150.

It is literally cheaper to just buy 2 or 3 of this printer and throw it away each time you run out of toner.

🤣🤣🤣

I've had the C261SNw for a couple years now. I've replaced the toner and it was no more expensive than buying multiple ink jet cartridges. My biggest gripe with this printer is the network connectivity. I have never been able to configure for a wireless connection. I have it connected via Cat6 and it works fine.

The utilities are meant for a corporate environment and unless you are an IT Professional (which I am) they are less than user friendly.

Decent printer but I wouldn't buy again.

Keep in mind this comes with starter toner cartridges that have less than 50% or the real toner capacity.

In the box:
Black Starter Toner Cartridge (~1000 prints)
Cyan Starter Toner Cartridge (~1000 prints)
Magenta Starter Toner Cartridge (~1000 prints)
Yellow Starter Toner Cartridge (~1000 prints)

That goes the same for most printers. And 169 is still more than 150

(If it has single pass automatic duplex scanning,,,
That would be a nice feature to have...Now if you could just get reasonably priced compatible toner, this might be a real deal.

Be forewarned, the scanning resolution on this unit is not good. Print quality on the other hand is very nice.

Edit: I actually have the previous model (C261sfnw) and the scan resolution is terrible. Hopefully this newer unit is better.

The scan specs:

C261SFNW
Scan Specifications
Scanner Resolution Color and B&W: up to 600 dpi, TWAIN: up to 1200 dpi
Scanning Speed (Letter) B&W: up to 40 ipm, Color: up to 24 ipm
Platen Size Up to 8.5" x 11"/A4
Maximum Scanning Size Up to 8.5" x 14"
Scan Modes Black & White, Grayscale, Color
File Formats JPEG, Single/Multi Page TIFF, Single/Multi Page PDF
Scan-To Modes Scan-to-Email; Scan-to-Folder (SMB/FTP); Scan-to-Media (USB);
TWAIN/WIA, ICA, SANE Scanning
Scan Protocols Network: TCP/IP; Email: SMTP; Scan-to-Folder: SMB, FTP

C250FWB
SCANNER (STANDARD)
Scanning: B/W 21 ipm
Scanning: full color 12 ipm
Resolution: standard 300 dpi
Resolution: maximum 1,200 dpi
Compression method B&W (TIFF (MH, MR, MMR), JPEG (Grayscale), PDF), Color (PDF, JPEG)
File formats Single Page: TIFF, JPEG, PDF, High Compression PDF
Multi Page: TIFF, PDF, High Compression PDF
Bundled drivers Network TWAIN
Scan modes E-mail, Folder, USB

I believe the 1200 dpi is interpolated, so my hopes are not high that this unit is better. I would love to get some solid feedback from someone that owns the unit.

Sometimes the scan dpi means shit. I have a laser aio and a photo aio. Even though the optical resolutions are the same, I get much more vibrant colors and better photo scans put of the photo aio. Just tells me there's more that goes into it than dpi.

When it's hard wired, are you still able to print wirelessly?

The Xerox 6022 goes on sale every now and then, I got it for $65 at Staples.
The toner for that runs around $10 to $20 on Amazon. The printer is A++++
