First time posting. Almost got the directtools used one for 143, gut said look one last time. Was full price this morning is now on sale like earlier this year for 199. (

I've been waiting on this particular saw to hit $200 for a month now. That's the lowest price it ever drops to, but it hits it every few months in case anyone is on the fence. The only way to get it cheaper would be to get a refurbished model from DirectToolsOutlet for $144, but then you don't get the lifetime warranty from Ridgid (however much that may be worth).

Saw itself is great for consumers/hobbyists like me. Wouldn't want to build a house with it, but window framing, trim, and a few other projects have been a lot easier that with the old Skil.

I'm a Dewalt guy myself. But I think the Rigid wins on blade speed (5000rpms) and rip capacity of 26in. And don't forget the lifetime warranty.
