Do NOT go by the old reputation of PIA. Check this slickdeals post before trusting this company: Link

I have 500/18 Comcast service and using my wired PC(with an 8th gen i5) as a VPN client I get 5/18. Nord VPN was definitely faster

Heads up! PIA just got bought recently by Kape Technologies (was previously known as CrossRider), who also bought CyberGhost VPN in 2017 and ZenMate VPN in 2018.... Also, Kape Technologies used to put adware in their apps"Adware.CrossRider" that was detected by Malwarebytes. This caused them to changed their CrossRider name to Kape Technologies. They are now trying to rebrand as a privacy company LMAO Look it up and research it.

Disappointing to hear...PIA seemed to be the only one where their no logs policy as was actually tested in court. When did this buy out occur? Not sure about other providers like NordVPN when it comes to no logs and if they are telling the truth.

News of the buy out just came yesterday by techradar which confirms rumors of PIA struggling financially. They have not merged yet so can't say if they gonna make changes. But cyber ghost main site has like 10+ tracking domains/scripts.

Think before they were bought out I heard they were also 30 million in debt. Guess too many deals wasn't feasible in the long run or they didn't pull in enough new users.

Are you sure the crossrider adware was related to the same company? I couldn't find any articles on that specifically...

Here some details scroll down to who owns cyberghost. https://restoreprivacy.com/cyberghost/
Also this site owner is nordvpn or expressvpn shill so dont take his VNPreviews seriously.

You don't change your company name Crossrider to something else after you get caught malware/adware name after you

Interesting...wondering what VPN is now considered trustworthy and truly keeps no logs.

Look into Mullvad, AirVPN, Windscribe, IVPN. Avoid VPNs that have Affiliate Program which most vpn review rate those highly because money advertising.

Also, Windscribe giving PIA members 1month of Windscribe Pro if you cancel PIA and screenshot it More Info [twitter.com]
Good way to test it out before buying.
