Their battery is super crappy, I had bought a bunch of their non rechargeable battery from Fry's and literally all of the bunch leaks. I will not touch this brand again.
I've had mine over a year. Used with a pellet smoker. I've smoked ribs, brisket, pork belly, as well as reverse seared steaks. Working fine, seems accurate. Range is decent as well. I'm happy with it. This is the only leave-in thermometer I've used since I started smoking meats so I don't have anything else to compare it to. But for the price, it suits my needs just fine. Only complaints are that the colored ends of the probes are all discolored due to the smoke and the magnet on the back of the unit is rather weak, doesn't stick well to the side of the grill.
edit: price is good too. I got the 6-probe unit for $45. I have a small grill, so I've, at the max, used two probes at the same time.
I have one with 6 probes works great . I've had over a year and has been very accurate and Bluetooth works good with app . Also magnet on the back is convenient for just sticking on the traeger lid or outside pellet feeder so it's not in the way on the shelf
I have the one with 6 probes. I like it, got another one as a gift for the brother in law.
The iPhone app sucks. I like to smoke my meat overnight, the app won't prevent sleep; and when it sleeps long enough it disconnects. So it will either alarm that it's disconnected or not alert that your meat is up to temperature. But it's great while you are watching it.
After trying these thermometers for more than 10 years, and dozens of models, from Polder, to Farberware, to countless Chinese wireless ones, to the $200 Thermoworks Smoke, this one is the best for the money.
Very accurate, fast, battery efficient, easy to use, and just works.
The main thing with these is probe longevity. The uninsulated probes would usually start to flake out after being exposed to heat and moisture. I bought the 6 probe version of this model thinking I'd need and have backups, but the original probes I used with it still function perfectly after 2 years. At this rate, I'll go 10 years before I need to replace any probes.
The bluetooth is effective and reliable. Easily programmable enough, nice to be able to monitor pit temp as well as meat separately on your phone.
For $20 this is a no-brainer, by far the best wireless-bluetooth probe on Amazon.

I'm borderline on buying anything from Tenergy, but could bite at this price.
But installing their app on my phone is where I draw the line.
Still, its worth considering even if you just walk by and check the temp.
So far so good, I smoke meats at least a few times a month and it has come.in really handy.
