That comes with a Micro SD option which I like, is the Ring better?

You are not buying one camera, you are buying into the network of security made of real people in your own neighborhood who actual do actually care about your safety and their family safety.
How it work is that you will have this app to work your bell/security camera as the main feature but the real pot of gold on this App is their neighborhood forum for you and your neighbor to post about things they see suspicious, weird,... It creates a sense of a community of security while everyone remains anonymous.
Very quick example, 2 days ago there was some dude stealing from a car. The owner posted the footage and someone on the Ring App in my community actually recognize the dude and know exactly where that dude live. It was within the first 3 minutes the video is posted too.
I'm not a sale person for Ring LOL, I really enjoy the product and the whole community thing on the app at first was a bonus but we soon realize that it has unexpectedly become the best part of Ring.
As for the SD card thing, Ring Upload your video to cloud so you won't be thinking about an SD card at all. (It's always available to you everywhere from your phone/laptop/desktop anywhere with internet)
TL;DR: Buy ring, the Ring App is a very very important part of the whole thing and it is completely worth paying the premium.

This is not a deal. Make sure they pay you if you're going to put one of these up at your home.

I purchased my Ring2 Doorbell last year at Costco during BF for this same price $130 which included the 1 year free subscription service. I wanted the battery version of Ring Camera so that's why I bought Ring 2 along with an extra battery and I'm very happy. The good news is the 1 year free Subscription service doesn't start until you install your Ring doorbell. So Costco is the place to buy your Doorbell
