Books-A-Million has Gloomhaven by Cephalofair Games marked down to $76.99. The game normally retails for $120, with most places carrying it between $100-120. To my knowledge, other than the Kickstarter campaign, this is extremely close to the same as the lowest price ever, which was on Miniature Market for $74-75.

I have over half of the games in the top 100 of BGG and this is easily my favorite. I don't usually pay more than half MSRP for my games, and I was happy to pay $120 for this when it was hard to find. If you like old school turn based computer RPGS, this is the board game for you.

Great game but VERY complex. Best if you have one or two max friends to play with if they can get into the spirit of the game. Any more players and campaigns drag on for WAY too long.

If you've ever wanted to play Dungeons & Dragons but don't have a good dungeon master or don't like the role playing aspect of it (using your imagination to solve situations) then this is a better alternative. It still immerses you in a deep fantasy world but with more structured rules for combat. If you've ever played the Divinity video games or, to a lesser extent, the Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics games, it plays a lot like them in board game form.

Good price, shipping should be a flat 3.99 dollars.

Yeah, it used to be a large chain but has gone mostly online. I've been buying from Books-a-Million since the mid 2000's.

EDIT: There actually still is one near me. I called up to make sure they didn't have any in-store and she told me they didn't used to carry it so she suspects they started for the holiday season. No idea why it's so cheap.

Do we still need the removable sticker set for replayability?

Need? Not necessarily, but they're worth the $9 if you intend to do multiple campaigns without xpac.

Don't bother with the removable sticker set - unless they've updated it, it's just the same stickers that come with the game. Nothing removable about them.

That being said, this game is amazing and it's so long that if you finish it you'd gladly pay another 100 just to get a fresh game. I play with a group of 4 and we've probably had 100 hours of fun so far with plenty more to go.

How necessary is the additional organizer? Is it a significant improvement to quality of life when playing this game?

Might be able to combine it with the 15% off deal for signing up for the newsletter.

If it's a game you will put away each time you play it's 100% necessary to have an organizer. I personally built my own by using those fishing tackle box trays and it works just fine.

This is the kind of game that's best kept on a dedicated table somewhere and you get together regularly to play. It's a campaign with a lot of content to unlock so it will take you many many plays to finish.

every time I add to cart and proceed to checkout it tells me my cart is empty. Tried 3 times. Also, I am assuming none of their coupon codes work with this?
