Good to know. I didn't catch that.

Looks like the Amazon version includes "four bonus ornaments" so depends if that's worth an extra $15. The Target one which is the most expensive appears to be the same as Walmart for twice the price.

We were planning to go to Aldi to get it (it's a "Special Buy" this week for $29.99) and I thought that was a good deal but figured I should check online first. Was pleasantly surprised to see Walmart had it for $24.99 so jumped on it!

Just bought it at Aldi this morning... Guess I'll see how they handle returns.

As long as you have a receipt you should be good to go! They're really easy about returns.

I bought some shatterproof ornaments I keep in a basket next to this. My 16 month old probably spends 30-45 min a day decorating this now that he has more than the four colors that come with it.

I bought 2 at Wal-Mart after Christmas last year, on clearance for $3 each. Plays music, 2 AA batteries needed but not included

It's a good deal, but my personal experience last Christmas season with my son who was almost 3 at the time:

He got bored with it, quick. It lacks the dexterity-building functions of many other toddler toys - most notably, the ornaments aren't hung on the tree, they're placed within a shelf. Perhaps my son was too old for it.

We very rarely return/exchange toddler toys, as we have younger children who may appreciate it *but* we did pack this up (prior to Christmas) and returned it. That said, others may have a better experience.

This year we ended up with the Step2 gingerbread house and my son and 15-month-old daughters have played with it constantly over the past week or so. Just a bit more variety in all the accessories, I guess. Or it's still early and everyone will be bored with it tomorrow.

Walmart had this in stores last year and nobody bought them and they were clearanced down to something like $9. They're fun, but it doesn't keep interest too long. We gave ours to our church nursery after only a few days and it was a much bigger hit there where the kids only saw it once a week. We'll bring it back out there soon.
