Back in stock on their website is the Gorilla Ladder Platform. Just picked mine up today. They are light weight, easy to fold, and super convenient for projects around the house or at work. Easy carry handle and comes with a lifetime warranty.

I have two and have found myself being glad I did. Here's a couple recent examples:

1) allows my wife and I to paint a room together since this allows you to reach the trim without having to keep moving one back and forth.

2) needed a make shift platform for my worksite table saw for a project? I laid half a sheet of MDF over top of both and it was the perfect height to cut on a dwe7941, plus the top of two saw horses with another piece of MDF lined up at the perfect height for the outfeed. Ghetto but did the trick!

3) when I'm putting the first coat of paint on longer pieces of trim, I lay out a drop cloth, put one of these on each side to elevate the trim while it dries. Allows you to paint the edges easier.

4) when working on something around waist level, it makes the perfect bench to sit on. Use the other one as a table to keep tools at the same level beside you to prevent bending over as much.

Now I wonder what I could do with 3. Hmm....

What you are thinking of is called a work plank, and those already exist. This is a different product that serves a different purpose than a work plank.

Step ladder seems more practical and maneuverable. Pass
you'll be surprised how handy this platform really is compared to just step ladders.....I had the same notion before until I got this platform last week. Even just hanging decors on a 7.5 ft Christmas tree is so easy with this one than a step ladder.

Think this needs a bit of a redesign. Might be more useful if also able to be used between two ladders. Weight should not n an issue as rings of both ladders will be taking half the weight as they normally would. Could also sell not only lore platforms but ladders as well.

Bought this in store yesterday. Plenty in stock. I already have the one from last year. They made some engineering changes. Instead of latch to lock legs in place when your standing on it, they replaced with a simple push button. No more pinching fingers. Picking it up by the slot in the deck is much easier as well. Ill probably go back and buy another one. I dont know why i need 3?

If I were to buy two of these and connect them with a plank about 10 ft. long, would it sag too much in the middle? I weigh about 170 lbs. Every year I need to pressure wash the pool screen from the inside, and doing the parts directly over the pool is always tricky. In the past, I have dragged a fiberglass ladder literally into the pool and stood on that while pressure-washing, which is less than ideal. I'd rather stand on something like the set-up I described extending over the surface of the pool.

I wouldn't buy this for that

I was given one of these a few years ago. This is a great tool to have - it makes paint and trim work a lot easier.
