The kit I want is still not on sale. It's normal price ahs dropped $15, though. Now if only it would be on a 20% off deal, I'd bite... that would put it at about $230 for 32gb 3600 b die.

No, the system can only use one type of system ram at a time. Most desktop cpus only support one iteration of memory

I think you already have DDR4, and these are all DDR4. 2400 MHz RAM is only available as DDR4.

Looks more like you're asking if you can mix DDR2 with DDR3 with DDR4.

Nope.

What gen processor do you have, or what is your motherboard model/PC model? You could just punch it into crucial.com to see what it can take. If you really have DDR2, you can only use DDR2 on that computer. That's super cheap used all over the place.

Laptops use SO-DIMM, so maybe:

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 SO-DIMM 2400 (PC4 19200) Laptop Memory @ $49.99

The prices really don't appear to have changed much [if at all], since I started looking 2 weeks go on newegg.

Appears to be the stardard pretend BF sale's I've gotten used to in years past.

IMO, The 16gb sticks need to be under $60.. these densities need to rise.. 32gb sticks need to be common before the switch over to ddr5...

Ask a vague generic question without details, get an equivalent quality question.
You might as well have asked "Will this ram work in my cousin's laptop? She doesn't speak english and I can't understand her"

Just plug your laptop's model into one of the many memory companies' websites (Micron, Crucial, etc.) They'll tell you what you can use, and even tell you the max size chip/max ram, etc. it'll be able to handle.
Google is your friend, especially when you already know you'll find the ram finder/calculators on their sites.

Plus, you'll find out exactly the current config. Such as: 2 slots, 1 slot, 1 slot + 1 soldered to the board, etc.
That way you don't buy 2 chips for 1 spare slot, when you could possibly just buy 1 x 16gb chip for the same price. Most budget laptops only have 1 slot available for upgrade, partly for space, but mainly to screw you over if you attempt to upgrade.
Another pisser: Mobo's have limits on the ram it can handle, ie. Max 12gb total, max 8gb per slot, etc. It all depends on your model.
