Almost bought this last post at this price. Went back up to $130.00. Wonder what Black Fridays price will be.?
I have an older version of this , its a very good electric but blade/foil replacement is $$55.00

Had a few people say the arc4 was a better shaver. Anyone have more input? Thanks.

Have this. Great razor but replacement blades are super expensive. I am oiling the new blade every couple of shaves to try and keep it as long as possible. We'll see.

I had the arc4 and now have this. This one is way better.
Yes, the replacement blades are pricy but mine is 2 years old and I'm still using the blades that came with it.

I have the ES-LF51-A, which is a 4 blade shaver. I bought this Arc 5 after the last post and I'm glad I did. It provides a significantly better shave.

I have been using this at least 5 times a week since May 2017. Still works great (no issues with the blade). Used ES-LA63-S Arc4 for 6 years. Both of them are great but I prefer this newer model over the old one.

I purchased this when it was $99 to replace my Arc4. When it had new blades and foil, the shave was similar to this one. The replacement blade / foil combo for both is about the same price ($50, +- $5-10). I purchased this one for the higher speed and it was cheaper at the sale price. After 2 weeks of use, I've been very happy. Would recommend over the Arc4 given the similarity in price.

I've had a dozen of these Panasonic's and imho the sweet spot is Arc3 for its maneuverability (I think 8103s is the cheapest). Best if you ever maintain facial hair.

If you shave clean daily, then I'd go with the Arc5. You can't really get around much facial hair with Arc4 & Arc5, the head is huge.

How often do you need to replace the blade?

My experience as well. Arc5 much better than Arc4.

Good shaver, maybe I got a lemon but mines got dull fairly quick (first 4 months of use, shaving every 3 days) and I don't get too hairy in to face either. Things that are great about this razor is, it definitely is a good time saver, I don't have to use shave gel or creme or water and I haven't had a ingrown hair yet after use compared to a manual blade but I did have to use 3 or 4 passes in some spots of my face to get a good shave, my mileage.

Would I buy again, considering the replacement blades? Probably not. But its great for fast shaves, convenience, time restricted and great for travel. If I want a closer shave, however, I'd go with a manual razor+its way cheaper this way.
