I've been looking to get new development machine, but I feel that 13" is just too small and 15" would be optimal size.

That and the video card. 13 is too small for development imho...
Build quality and being super light helps
My current setup is a Lenovo T480 with wqhd ips panel plus 32 gigs of memory (development machine)
not ultra light weight (ie. sub 3 lbs) but able to replace RAM is a big plus
could of fork out more for the X1 Carbon but can't justify myself doing so....LMAOLMAO

I've been using the XPS 13 2-in-1 with VSCode.. works pretty well but of course that depends on the font sizes you like to use. I am a little bit baffled as to why a "Developer" edition doesn't have a 32GB ram option(the 2-in-1 can be bought with 32).

I wish there were more 3:2 laptops. The Surface Laptop 3 13.5" display is the around same height as a regular 16:9 15.6" display, just not as wide. Best of both worlds...still feels like a bigger screen but way more portable than a 15" laptop.
