They are very similar panels but the x950g has a much faster processor. So if you are looking to use the built in Android TV it may be worth it. If not, the X900F may be just fine.

I'm assuming this isn't QLED? How is the picture? I don't know a lot about TVs, thanks.

Both have "ashy blacks" in dark rooms. The 900 can't process Dolby digital (very dark) and doesn't have eArc.
Regarding the black levels on the 900/950.... Skip to the 11:00 mark of this video. It totally changed my mind about Sony.

So what TV are you recommending to alleviate this behavior? Samsung Q90? That has other drawbacks like the motion blur and sub par out of the box tuning. Please provide insight.

I have a Samsung KS9800 and motion is terrible. Can't even watch live sports on it.

Read and watch reviews from RTINGS. Unless you get an OLED panel you're going to get some blooming and gray uniformity issues.

If you have a lot of money to spend, this probably isn't the panel for you. This panel is recommended from RTINGS as the best TV for color reproduction.

Sure currently, but you later say lowest it has been published. Previously it has been posted lower. Currently, it maybe lowest price, but that doesn't make it slick.

It was also an eBay buy. Not all buyers are comfortable buying from eBay.
