Finally pulled the trigger on this one... just needed a reasonable spec laptop to replace my old Dell 17R.

Will be adding a large HDD and still be at under $450... and will return if a better deal shows up in the next week or so.

buy the intel one for better battery. ryzen got better graphic tho. the Ryzen 3000 is based on zen+ instead of zen 2 which means it is not better than intel for mobile devices.

Correct. It's not a touch screen.

If it's like the 330 that was posted here last month, it has a free NVME slot. If you get a decent drive and move your boot over to it, you will gain noticable performance.

This is exactly what I did, but sadly my NVME turned out to be slower (write) than my also upgraded SSD

I actually ordered the Ryzen version from Rakuten today for the same price. It came with $111 in points back. So I went with that one. I'll give it a try and see how it goes before I spend the points since I can return within 30 days. It's only going to be used for light college stuff so I'm sure it will be just fine. The only issue I see is that it has 1 4gb module onboard and the other slot is the only one expandable.

Terrible screen. I replaced it with a $50 IPS panel from Amazon.
