PSA: Make sure you wash or your brand new heated blankets and heated mattress pad.
I have heated mattress cover and an air quality sensor. My VOCs kept spiking randomly at night and I couldn't figure out why. Sharply all of a sudden my measurements went from 0-200ppm (normal) all the way to 2000ppm! It was sharp increase on the graph and I was racking my brain where it was coming from. Then I tried electric pad the next night after the levels dropped back to normal and boom there it was. So I tried an experiment and placed the mattress pad and AIQ sensor in a closet and there it was again, instantly from normal (0-200ppm) all the way over 2200ppm in the span of a few minutes. My mind was blown.
Then I realized that new fabrics are generally treated with formaldehyde to preserve the fabric color and reduce wrinkles. I washed the pad a few times with hot water in the washing machine and now everything is back to normal. Just thought I'd share my experience.

Bought this 2 years ago and still works fine, washed it a total of maybe 10 times and it appears the heat isn't distributed evenly throughout the blanket but it still works great. Definitely worth the 20 bucks in my opinion

I got a twin size from Kohls 3 years ago and it does everything it's supposed to.I didn't even switch it out last summer, just didn't turn the heat on.I toss and turn a lot and it's held up fine.
Got this brand from Kohls in January this year for $10. I got ivory. Been using it. Good so far. I think heated blanket/ heater will go on sale a lot in January.
I have a very very very old Biddeford electric blanket. It's the old style flip button and dial switch. The one I have isn't the soft material like this one, but I will say for as long as I've had it and as much as I've used mine (and it still works fine), I'd buy another product of theirs.
