This deal doesn't make any sense..

HP is crazy to give us 3700X at such a low price.

The power supply is shit.

On the surface it looks like a good deal, but that 3700X is hella overpowered for the RX550, and the 310W PSU means a simple GPU swap won't cut it (you'll have you replace the PSU with a more powerful unit too). 256GB SSD might not be enough for most folks, so a HDD is recommended as well

It looks like a good deal, BECAUSE IT IS A GOOD DEAL.

For people WHO NEEDS EXACTLY THIS..

Again.. PERFECT grandma PC, you'll never have to upgrade it, she'll be dead before any upgrade is needed. Big Grin hahahahahaa..

FYI , I love my Grandma.. and she laughed when I told her my reasoning when I phone her to tell her I ordered her one.

He has some sort of thing for this computer. Gets very upset if you question it. I'm sure there's a name for that.

This is a repost. The original thread with tons of information is in deal talk and was just put there yesterday.

Its good news? I got a $50 refund for lack of the hard drive due to incorrect description. Doesn't sound like good news to anyone.

I just did a chat. Said the order info and box said "256/1tb" and there's no 1tb, I already spent a day installing apps so can I get a refund and buy a drive?" and the guy came right back with $50 off. Took about 20 minutes so I ate lunch.

Between that and RMN cash back (another $50) this was $450-credit card cash back + tax.

Folks WISH they bought it when they still said it had the 1tb hdd!
